The Cup of Wisdom Badge involved a variety of activities to be completed to prepare me for technology-enhancement in the classroom. This badge did not disappoint me. I learned how copyright matters and about the Creative Common license that allows the distribution of pictures fairly. Popplet helped me capture and organize my ideas about health. The visual was amazing for this tool. Memorizing events are challenging and Timeline will be a tool I use to represent historical sequences in social studies. Webquest, Bubbl.us, Trading Cards, and Digital Storytelling were just a few of the creative devices that will help me enhance my classroom learning.
I earned the Order of TPACK badge with weekly in-class activities (Word of the Day submissions) and the display of positive professionalism, collaboration, participation and attendance. Other actions necessary were evaluations of my peers' Movie Trailers and TED Talks and Twitter contributions.
The Genius Hour (GH) Badge worth 35% was a lot of fun. Using the Google Blogger tool, I built a blog-based Digital Portfolio and chronicled the GH project framework, presentation outline, research process, and video. I embedded PowToon movie introducing my GH introduction and movie trailer. It was easy to use and I liked the animation. Google slides presented my GH proposal page and iMovie highlighted my TED Talk. Great experiences for me and I have to say that my skills improved as I gained more confidence. That was a goal of mine.
